Functional coffee grinder kit
Build something that stays.
A real hand-crank coffee grinder, assembled, painted and personalized together.
01 The complete build
One box. A whole workshop.
Every component is laid out in build order, from the first wood panel to the personalized brass plate.
Pre-cut wood body
Shaped panels, drawer parts and base pieces for the grinder cabinet.
Brass grinder mechanism
The working bowl, crank and handle that make it a real coffee grinder.
Vintage finish set
Heritage paint jars, brushes, color samples and polishing cloth.
Hardware and keepsakes
Fasteners, wooden dowels, build cards and a blank family nameplate.
Open it Friday. Build it together by Sunday.
Built to be used
An heirloom project with a real job.
The finished piece earns its place on the counter. The wood cabinet holds the grounds drawer while the hand-crank mechanism grinds whole coffee beans above it.
Manual burr grinding with a removable grounds drawer below.
Shaped wood panels, hardware, illustrated instructions and the required hand tools are included.
Forest green, oxblood, midnight navy or warm cream with fixed brass and wood accents.
Coverage for manufacturing defects in the supplied parts and grinder mechanism.
From box to countertop
Three decisions. One shared build.
Choose the finish and inscription now. Everything else arrives arranged in build order.
Choose the character.
Select one of four coordinated cabinet finishes. The brass bowl, crank and wooden handle stay timeless.
Make the plate yours.
Add two names, a meaningful date and the engraving style that fits the people building it.
Put it together.
Assemble the cabinet, apply the finish and mount the mechanism over an unhurried weekend.
Color studio
Pick the finish before the first coat.
The grinder preview changes like a product configurator. The body, drawer and lower plinth change together; the brass and wooden handle stay fixed.
Personal engraving
See the plate before it is made.
Type the names and date. The preview updates on the brass plate in real time, so the final object already feels specific.
Questions, answered
Know the build before the box arrives.
Need help with an order? Email support@handandheir.com.
Does the finished grinder actually grind coffee?
Yes. The kit includes a functional hand-crank burr mechanism designed for whole roasted coffee beans. The grounds collect in the wood drawer below.
What comes in the box?
Pre-cut wood cabinet parts, drawer components, grinder bowl and crank, hardware, wooden dowels, screwdriver, brushes, finish, polishing cloth, personalized brass plate and illustrated instructions.
How long does the build take?
Most of the hands-on assembly fits into an afternoon. Plan for a relaxed weekend so finish coats can dry fully before the grinder mechanism is mounted.
Can I preview the personalization?
Yes. The configurator shows both names, the build date, the selected type style and the matching cabinet color before the final demand-test action.
What is the planned shipping window?
For launch, personalized kits are planned to be prepared within 5–7 business days. Standard shipping is expected to be free in the contiguous United States.
What is the planned return policy?
The launch policy is planned to allow returns of unused, unassembled standard items within 30 days. Personalized plates and opened finish supplies would be final sale except for damage or defects.
Launch policy preview
The terms planned for production.
Shipping policy
At launch, Hand & Heir plans to ship within the United States. Standard shipping is expected to be free for addresses in the contiguous U.S.; rates for Alaska and Hawaii would be shown before payment.
Personalized orders are expected to require 5–7 business days before shipment. Final delivery estimates and carrier options will be published when production opens.
No order is created and no shipment is promised during the current demand-validation test.
Returns and refunds
The planned launch policy allows 30 days from delivery to request a return. Standard items would need to be unused, unassembled and in their original packaging.
Personalized plates, assembled products and opened finishing supplies are expected to be final sale, except when an item arrives damaged, incomplete or materially defective.
Because the current test does not accept payment or create orders, there is nothing to cancel, return or refund.
Limited warranty
The planned product warranty covers manufacturing defects in the supplied grinder mechanism and kit components for one year from delivery.
The warranty does not cover ordinary finish wear, misuse, commercial use, damage caused by incorrect assembly, unauthorized modification or use with materials other than roasted coffee beans.
Privacy policy
The configurator stores the selected finish, engraving preview and privacy choice in this browser. The anonymous purchase-intent event does not include the entered names, build date, email address, phone number or payment information.
Optional analytics and advertising tools receive events only after the visitor allows optional measurement. A configured first-party intent endpoint may receive the product ID, finish, font, price, timestamp and random event ID after the explicit Buy now action.
You may change analytics preferences on this page or send a privacy request to support@handandheir.com. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Validation-test terms
This website currently measures interest in a pre-production concept. Clicking Buy now records one anonymous purchase-intent signal; it does not place an order, reserve inventory or charge a payment method.
The displayed $159 price, shipping plan, product details and policies are launch assumptions and may change before production opens.
Assembly is intended for adults or for older children with direct adult supervision. The kit contains small parts, tools and finishing materials that must be used according to the included instructions.

No order-support service is active during validation because the site does not take orders or payments.
